On the Command line, go to the root of the product and enter this command: setup.exe -q To uninstall: If you have local media on the client, follow these steps: Open a command prompt window. If you wanted it last week I am sorry but the vendor does not seem to care about documenting things so we have to spend quite a bit of time figuring thing out things that no longer work with the current installer. Silent Windows installation To install: Copy the local media to your Windows client.

Guess the product is free so that is how much they support it but I can tell you we have stopped shielding our customers from the real issue why things take so long to deploy, the answer now a days is the vendor installer changed and it is not clearly documented.

We do use SCCM (fill in new name) and typically install in the system context and I see at least one other post referencing this and saying it was not working for DWG TrueView 2022 so once again a poorly documented and poorly implemented installer is costing businesses lost time and productivity.

Having said that if all the things I have tried to run the Setup.exe still not work I am left with little other option. Solution: In order to perform a silent installation of a service pack or update use the following steps: Download the service pack (SP) or update. I am not keen on running the MSI as you can not be sure just running that does everything the setup does. Searching the extracted directory I am not find either and none of the previous fixes seem to work. So in the end it was mostly my fault but I really appreciate the folks who responded on reddit that helped me realize what the real problem was. Given the number of posts I have seen having issues with the autodesk installers I would hope this might influence them to look a bit closer at what people are experiencing and try to adjust accordingly. This seems to have corrected the issue and it appears to behave as expected, including the -s for silent.

So after all the responses saying it worked were posted to reddit I downloaded the installer again. Software Deployment : Silent Install Issue with AutoCAD Hi, I was trying to run execute Autodesk 2011 silently, I used the below command for execution. For me the installer would throw an error and tell me to retry.

I posted some questions on reddit and everyone there said it was working. The upside is it'll reduce network traffic on other installs, as this isn't an Autodesk-only issue, Autodesk just happens to be the only ones with a weird enough install process to make Windows throw up red flags.Wanted to come back and set the record straight. We don't have a fix yet but I have a feeling it's going to involve firewall rules to stop DFS from acting this way. IMO this isn't a viable workaround because I'm not going to create a separate deployment for each office we have and for each Autodesk software package. If I "bypass" DFS by pointing the PDQ deployment directly to the local server share, it works fine. In the case of these Autodesk deployments, the initial installer at some point calls the "ProcessManager.exe" which requires admin rights, and was causing windows to freak out and flag it as "outside the network" since it was sometimes trying to open that file from an office across our WAN and not the server down the hall. This usually works, except DFS doesn't always pick the server local to the machine getting the deployment, it picks the one that responds first. We have PDQ Central server set up along with DFS so we can push deployments from one PDQ server to all of our remote offices.

So I think I tracked down the reason I'm having trouble with this, figured I would follow up here in case it helps anyone else.
